For those of you who are "well-read" in American Colonial history, it must be stated "there never was" a Revolutionary War battle at Jersusalem Mill, MD. The reenactment that was staged on October 11, 2009 presented a "what if" scenario - what would happen if British Crown Forces were to encroach upon the mid-Atlantic?
The weather this October day was almost perfect - the sun was out in force; it was a cool, crisp day with a light breeze blowing that would dissipate the heavy clouds of gunsmoke. On this day, the American Patriotic forces were triumphant, driving the Redcoats from the field after hot action with cannon and musket, and ending the day with a number of concerted bayonet charges - much to the delight of the audience in attendance!
