In response to a suggestion by David McKissack of the Southern Campaigns of the American Revolution (SCAR), Bill Welsch, President of the American Revolution Roundtable - Richmond (ARRT-R), and a number of other officers within that organization planned a formal Recognition and Roast Dinner for Harry M. Ward, a noted Revolutionary War author and historian, who is also a founding member of the ARRT-R. Guests for the evening included family, friends, Academicians and members of the ARRT-R, Sons of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Society of the Cincinnati. Hosted at Keller Hall on the University of Richmond, the evening's presenters offered a delightful mixture of respectful encomiums and irreverant "roasts". Highlights of the evening were too many to mention in this short paragraph but are faithfully reproduced in the accompanying Photo Gallery.
